Who am I?
And just a few words I am a mother, a teacher, a Marine, an athlete, and a survivor.
I was raised in Farmington Hills so I know what tax dollars well spent looks like. When September 11 happened I dropped out of college at grand Valley State University enjoying the Marine Corps to serve my country.
While in the Marine Corps I was stationed in Okinawa Japan. Here I became an ambassador with the United States Japanese link program in order to better facilitate relations between the Japanese and the Marines in Japan. I’ve worked with high-ranking officials prime ministers and ambassadors overseas and know what it’s like to work with and represent a country.
After serving three years I was discharged with post Trumatic stress disorder from rape and domestic violence. I returned back to Grandvalley state and finished up a degree in international relations and foreign language.
I am a go-getter, I am a hard worker, if I want something I don’t let anything stand in my way, if something needs to be done I will get it done.
You can regularly see me rollerblading around Heritage Park or hitting the splash pad with my six children at home. You may also see me working hard at Crunch, Coaching youth soccer, or running the track with my kids.
On day one I’m going to do an investigation of where all of our tax dollars are going and making sure our money is spent wisely, appropriately and in the best interest of the residents of Taylor.
